The spiritual life of children is the focus of the Center for Children and Theology. Children’s relationships with God are marked by enjoyment, simplicity, wonder, and love. Their spirituality provides the whole church with an understanding of God that complements other prophetic voices in the church.
Our work is inspired by over three decades of observations and reflections of young children, the study begun by Dr. Sofia Cavalletti–the founder of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd–and the challenges of faith in today’s world.
We seek to communicate the gifts of children's insights to the church, as well as to serve the catechists, parents and pastors as they seek nurture children's spiritual life. In this spirit we research and develop all of our publications, events, courses, and catalog items.
