A Snapshot of What We're Working On
Community Projects
One of CCTheo’s greatest strengths is the community of catechists from around the world with whom we are connected. In collaboration with these community members, we are participating with or supporting several projects – a number are listed below.
If you have a proposal for a project or research please, contact us, we are always open to new ideas.
Catechist Action research
in the atrium (CARA)
Leaders: Gaby Gastelum & Catherine Maresca
Description
The Catechist Action Research in the atrium holds the standard of Dr. Montessori’s commitment to scientific observation and research in the spiritual development of the Child.
Current research questions include:
- When traumatic events must be addressed in the atrium, what are best practices?
- How does silence support entrance into prayer and support children’s reception of presentations?
Past research questions:
- How do children interact differently with the Good Shepherd parable when the sheep are not all white?
- How does a bilingual approach to prayer circle change the dynamic in the Elementary atrium?
- What qualities of the Good Shepherd do toddlers most relate with?
Playlists For Families
Leaders: Beverly Sanders & Chris Hansen
Description
Liturgically Seasonal Music Playlists are a wonderful way to offer developmentally appropriate music leading to prayer and perhaps conversation among the family.
