Weaving Our Gifts: a Conference of Catechists, will be held the Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28, 2023. We are introducing a new format for this year’s conference, with both online participation and in-person events at satellite locations around the country.
CCTheo is pleased to announce that The Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Weaving Our Gifts. She will address two issues of critical importance to our work with children: the place of children in our changing church landscape, and the intersection of children’s faith formation and bias and racism in the country and our churches. Click here for more information about Canon Spellers.
Our format for Weaving Our Gifts 2023 will be to livestream keynote talks to online groups and satellite locations around the country, creating an opportunity for in-person meals, networking, discussions and breakouts. These locations are listed below, along with the host(s). We are still open to additional venues, whether in your home, atrium or church, to welcome nearby catechists, parents, assistants and others connected to the atrium for Weaving Our Gifts. Hosts will determine how many participants they can host, plan group conversations, and offer refreshments to accompany bagged or pot-luck meals. If you are interested in hosting, please contact Catherine Maresca for more information. Registration fees will be waived for hosts.
Online participation is available for those who cannot attend in person.
