As we look to the new year, we are thrilled to begin new work to serve children and their parents and caregivers. We are receiving a grant of $550,000 from Lilly Endowment Inc., as part of a new Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative.
The goal of the Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative is to help interested parents and caregivers share their faith and values with their children, whether or not the family is affiliated with a church. CCTheo is one of about forty organizations receiving funding in an invitational round of grants.
This multi-year funding creates an incredible opportunity for CCTheo to expand both our work and our platform. It will provide rich soil to accelerate our growth and allow us to develop an array of resources and programs for faith formation, both at home and at church.
The process of imagining our work with a generous investment from Lilly has pushed us all to see the possibility of CCTheo making a huge contribution– using our experience and research to creatively serve children whose faith formation rests on the shoulders of their parents and caregivers.
The new grant money will allow us to fertilize and accelerate work that could have taken decades to grow otherwise. With this rapid growth, we continue to need our partners more than ever to help us tend the soil. Our grant money is earmarked, and we rely on your support to continue our established work: developing resources to support catechists, offering courses and programs for catechists, and fostering research and community among catechists.
