Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 2 is designed to attune participants to the religious life of 6-9-year-old children and to provide the  specific methods and materials to foster that life. New themes of our Christian faith offered in the materials include the history of the Kingdom of God, Moral formation, Preparation (or deepening) for Eucharist and Reconciliation, and communal prayer. The course also shows the development of 3-6 themes for the older children. Sessions include communal prayer, presentations of materials, background reading, and preparation of album pages.

All CCTheo course sessions are permanently available to participants to make up or review course content and course leaders provide ongoing support and clarification via email. 

Courses meet one Saturday/ month, from September to June, from 9am – 4pm at Christian Family Montessori School, located in Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington, DC.

Tentative Dates: September 23, 2023; October 21; November 18; December 9; January 20, 2024; February 24; March 16; April 13; May 4; June 1
